Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Uncooked lentils
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 1/4 c. Water
  • 1 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 x Green onions, sliced
  • 1 sm Garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Parsley
  • 1 x d Cayenne
  • 1 x d Turmeric
  • 1/4 c. Water, as needed

Direcciones

  1. Combine water, lentils, salt in a pot. Cook until lentils are soft.
  2. Drain, reserve stock.
  3. Heat oil in skillet & saute/fry onions & garlic until onions are translucent/soft.
  4. Add in parsley & spices & cook another minute. Set aside.
  5. Combine lentils, cooking water & onion mix in a food processor, adding more water a tb at a time as needed until the mix reaches a spreadable consistency.
  6. Chill a few hrs before serving. Spread on whole grain crackers or possibly use as a vegetable dip.
