Ingredientes

  • 12 slc bread, white
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 350 gm cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp pepper, black
  • 3/4 tsp mustard, dry
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 x Large eggs

Direcciones

  1. May be prepared the day before.
  2. Trim crusts and cut bread into 2cm squares. Cut cheese into bite size pcs.
  3. In large greased casserole, alternate layers of bread and cheese. Pour melted butter over top.
  4. Beat Large eggs well, stir in salt, pepper, mustard and lowfat milk. Combine thoroughly. Pour over casserole.
  5. Cover and chill 30 min.
  6. One hour before serving, bake at 350 degrees, 30 min covered, then 30 min uncovered till top is golden brown and puffy.
