Ingredientes

  • 2 c. No-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 c. Water
  • 1 can (14 1/2-oz) tomatoes including liquid
  • 4 ounce Fresh mushrooms, sliced, (1 1/4 c.)
  • 1/2 c. Medium pearl barley
  • 1 Tbsp. Instant chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp Crushed dill weed
  • 1/2 tsp Caraway seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Sugar Grnd black pepper to taste
  • 6 ounce Cooked ham, cut in bite-size pcs, (1 c.)

Direcciones

  1. Combine broth, water and tomatoes in a 3-qt casserole. Cover with lid or possibly vented plastic wrap; microwave on high 9 to 10 min or possibly till boiling.
  2. Stir in mushrooms, barley, onion, dill, caraway, sugar and pepper. Re-cover and microwave on high 12 to 15 min, or possibly till barley is tender. Stir in ham.
  3. Serving suggestion: Top each serving with a dollop of lowfat sour cream, if you like.
