  • 750 gm sirloin steak cut into thin strips
  • 1 lrg onion skinned and minced
  • 3 Tbsp. drambuie or possibly whisky
  • 75 ml double cream salt and pepper

Direcciones

  1. Heat the butter in the frying pan and cook the onion and beef for 5 - 10 min till the meat is brown and cooked to taste.
  2. Stir in the whisky and cream heat through and bubble gently till a sauce is formed.
  3. Season to taste.
  4. Serve immediately with brown rice and green vegetables.
  5. Whisky and prime beef are two of scotland's best products. In this recipe they combine well to make a wonderful specialoccasion main course. Because the meat is cooked quickly use a good sirloin steak for flavour and tenderness. Have the largest frying pan possible available. Batches of meat can be kept hot in the simmering oven after cooking, then returned to the pan when the liqueur and cream are added.
  6. Serves 4 but can easily be multiplied to serve 12 or possibly 16.
