Ingredientes

  • 60 gm Fat (1/4 c.)
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1/2 lt Water or possibly instant broth (2 c. plus 2 Tbsp) Bay leaf

Direcciones

  1. Make a dark roux of the flour and fat, then add in liquid and bring to a boil.
  2. Only then add in 'inlays' (cooked spaetzle, pasta, dumplings, vegetables, etc.)
  3. For example: SPATZEN IN BRAUNER BRUEHE (SPAETZLE IN BROWN GRAVY):
  4. Fix 'Kaesspatzen' (cheese spaetzle - recipe separately), and put into brown gravy. Serve with green salad [lettuce].
  5. Serves 4.
