Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Cubes white bread, (1/2-inch)
  • 1 1/4 c. Half-and-half
  • 1 Tbsp. Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/4 c. Firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 lrg Egg
  • 1 lrg Egg yolk Vanilla ice cream as an accompaniment

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Butter two 1 1/4-c. ramekins and divide bread cubes between them. In a small saucepan heat half-and-half, butter, salt, and vanilla over moderate heat till warm. In a small bowl whisk together sugar, egg, and yolk and add in half-and-half mix in a stream, whisking. Pour mix over bread cubes and bake puddings in middle of oven till puffed and golden brown, about 25 to 30 min.
  3. Serve puddings hot with ice cream.
  4. Serves 2.
