Chinese Tossed Salad

A nice update to a generic salad.

Ingredientes

  • 1 head romaine, torn in bite-size pcs
  • 1 (16 ounce.) can beans sprouts, rinsed & liquid removed
  • 1 (5 ounce.) can water chestnuts, liquid removed & sliced
  • 5 pcs bacon, crisp-cooked & crumbled
  • 2 hard-boiled Large eggs, sliced
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. catsup
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp. grated onion

Direcciones

  1. In large salad bowl, combine romaine, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, bacon and Large eggs.
  2. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. To prepare dressing, combine in a screw top jar: oil, sugar, catsup, vinegar, onion and Worcestershire sauce. Shake well.
  4. Pour over salad. Toss lightly.
  5. Serves 6 to 8.
