Chocolate Nut Chip Cookies

Ingredientes

  • 1 2/3 c. All-purpose flour
  • 2/3 c. Cocoa
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 c. Crisco shortening
  • 3/4 c. Lightly-packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
  • 1 x Egg
  • 2 Tbsp. Water or possibly lowfat milk
  • 2 tsp Pure vanilla
  • 2 c. White chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 c. Coarsely minced nuts *

Direcciones

  1. (Pecans, walnuts, almonds or possibly hazelnuts)
  2. Preheat oven to 375F (190C).
  3. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Mix well.
  4. Cream shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla in large bowl on medium speed of electric mixer till light and creamy.
  5. Add in dry ingredients on low speed, mixing just till blended.
  6. Stir in white chocolate chips and nuts.
  7. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet, leaving room between cookies for spreading.
  8. Bake at 375F (190C) for 7-9 min.
  9. Cookies will still appear soft and moist when baked but hard-up on cooling.
  10. Cold slightly, then remove to cooling rack.
  11. Makes:About 3-1/2 dozen/ Freezing: Excellent
