Cooked Potatoes Dumplings

Ingredientes

  • 2 c. flour, sifted
  • 4 c. mashed potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • Healthy pinch of salt
  • 2 1/2 T butter
  • 2 T bread crumbs

Direcciones

  1. Mix mashed potatoes with flour. Add in salt and knead in egg. Roll on a lightly floured board; cut and shape into small balls or possibly into pencil size rolls, cut into 2" lengths. Drop the dumplings into boiling salted water. Cook till hard, then drain. Pour hot water over and drain again. Arrange on a heated platter and dot with bread crumbs browned in butter. Serve immediately.
