Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Canned whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. All-purpose flour
  • 1 pkt Active dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. Hot water, (105-115 F)
  • 3 Tbsp. Margarine
  • 2 c. Kellogg's Corn Flakes cereal, crushed to 1/2 c.
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Skim lowfat milk
  • 2 1/4 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1 x Egg, slightly beaten Vegetable cooking spray
  • 1 c. Confectioners' sugar
  • 4 tsp Hot water
  • 1/4 c. Minced nuts, (optional)

  2. 1.In small saucepan, combine cranberry sauce and 2 Tbsp. flour. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly till mix starts to boil. Remove from heat. Cold completely.
  3. 2.Dissolve yeast in the 1/4 c. water. Set aside.
  4. 3.Place margarine, Kellogg's Corn Flakes cereal, salt and sugar in large mixing bowl. Scald lowfat milk and pour over cereal mix, mixing till margarine is melted. Stir in sufficient flour (about 1/2 c.) to make thick batter. Add in yeast mix and egg. Beat well. Stir in sufficient remaining flour to make dough soft.
  5. 4.On lightly floured surface, knead dough about 10 min or possibly till smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease surface. Cover lightly. Let rise in hot place till double in volume (about 1 hour).
  6. 5.Punch down dough. On lightly floured surface, roll dough to 12 x 9-inch rectangle. Place on baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Spread cranberry filling lengthwise down center of dough rectangle. With knife, cut dough on sides of mix crosswise into 1-inch strips. Fold alternate strips diagonally across mix. Let rise in hot place till double in volume.
  7. 6.Bake at 350 F about 25 min or possibly till golden. Remove from oven.
  8. Place on wire rack. Drizzle with glaze made of confectioners' sugar and 4 tsp. hot water. Sprinkle with minced nuts, if you like. Less than 30%
