Crunchy Oven French Toast

Ingredientes

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1 c. half and half
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 c. corn flakes (crushed to 2 c.)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Direcciones

  1. Cut French bread into 1 1/4 inch slices. Combine Large eggs and half and half, sugar, vanilla and salt in a bowl and mix well. Place corn flakes and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
  2. Dip bread slices into egg mix, then into bread crumbs. Place on a greased cookie sheet; cover and freeze for 1 to 2 hrs, longer if you like.
  3. When ready to serve, preheat oven to 425 degrees and bake for 15-20 min. Garnish with sliced strawberries, bananas, warm maple syrup and whipped cream or possibly any of your favorites. Great for a brunch setting.
