%20and%20last%20night%20was%20no%20exception.%20I%20told%20them%20what%20I%20was%20making%20for%20dessert%20and%20they%20serenaded%20me%20as%20I%20cut%20up%20strawberries.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20dessert%20is%20pretty%20easy%20and%20I%20mean%20that.%20If%20you%20can%20use%20a%20mixer%20and%20you%20are%20patient%20when%20the%20bar%20is%20cooling,%20you%20will%20have%20no%20problems.%20Let%20the%20butter%20come%20to%20room%20temperature%20too...that%20really%20helps.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20bar%20base%20is%20similar%20to%20a%20peanut%20butter%20cookie%20bar.%20I%20have%20used%20chunky%20peanut%20butter%20and%20I%20don't%20like%20it%20quite%20as%20well.%20I%20also%20mix%20in%202%20tablespoons%20of%20milled%20flax%20seed%20to%20boost%20the%20nutrition,%20as%20well%20as%20use%20reduced%20sugar%20(or%20homemade%20if%20I%20have%20it)%20jam%20or%20preserves.%20I%20really%20think%20if%20you%20go%20full%20sugar,%20it%20might%20be%20a%20little%20too%20sweet,%20but%20that%20is%20just%20my%20opinion.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20made%20this%207%20times%20so%20far,%20and%20my%20biggest%20suggestions%20would%20be%20to%20spray%20a%20little%20Pam%20on%20the%20foil%20that%20lines%20your%20pan%20and%20let%20the%20bars%20COMPLETELY%20COOL%20in%20the%20dish%20before%20you%20try%20to%20take%20them%20out.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%20degrees%20and%20line%20a%2013x9x2%20baking%20pan%20with%20foil.%20Lightly%20spray%20with%20Pam.%20In%20a%20large%20bowl,%20beat%20butter%20and%20peanut%20butter.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20in%20sugars,%20baking%20powder%20and%20salt%20until%20combined.%20Add%20eggs%20and%20vanilla,%20beat%20until%20combined.%20Beat%20in%20as%20much%20flour%20as%20you%20can%20with%20mixer%20then%20use%20a%20spatula.%20Batter%20will%20be%20thick.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpread%20batter%20in%20pan%20and%20smooth%20out.%20Bake%2025%20minutes%20or%20until%20lightly%20browned.%20Cool%20completely%20in%20pan%20before%20inverting%20onto%20a%20serving%20dish.%20Spread%20jam%20over%20the%20top%20evenly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELastly,%20add%20a%20layer%20of%20sliced%20strawberries%20and%20the%20lime%20zest,%20if%20you%20like.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20also%20like%20to%20add%20this%20topping%20to%20cooled%20peanut%20butter%20cookies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlways%20a%20hit%20with%20my%20kids...hope%20you%20enjoy%20it!%20:)%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
