Ingredientes

  • 3/4 lb Smoked sausage
  • 1/3 c. Alad oil
  • 1/3 c. Flour
  • 4 stalk celery, minced fine
  • 3 cl Garlic, chopped
  • 2 med Onions, diced
  • 2 lrg Carrots, minced fine
  • 2 quart Chicken broth
  • 1 3/4 c. Lentils
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne

Direcciones

  1. In a 5 to 7 qt pan, over medium heat, cook sausage, stirring, till brow. Spoon from pan; reserve. Add in oi to drippings in pan to make 1/3 c. fat. Add in flour; stir till mix is red brown, abouth 10 min.
  2. Add in celery, garlic, onion and crrots; cook, stirring till vegetables begint o soften, about 3 min. Add in reserved sauseage, chicken broth lentils, worcestershire, pepper and cayenne. Bring to boiling over high ehat; redue to simmer, cover and cook till lentils ar soft when pressed, about 40 min.
