Fudgy Chocolate Cream Pie

Ingredientes

  • 1 x (9 inch) baked pastry shell
  • 1 1/4 c. white sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. corn starch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 4 x egg yolks
  • 2 x (1 oz) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Direcciones

  1. Method:1. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt. In a medium bowl, beat lowfat milk and egg yolks till smooth. Gradually stir into sugar mix. Stir constantly over medium heat till mix thickens and comes to a full boil. Boil and stir for one minute.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate, butter and vanilla. Stir till melted.
  3. Pour into pie shell. Place plastic wrap over filling to prevent skin from forming and refrigeratefor several hrs. Top with meringue or possibly whipped cream and chocolate curls if so desired.
  4. Makes 1 - 9 inch pie
