Ingredientes

  • 3 medium avocados, ripe - soft to touch, but not stringy
  • 1 small tomato
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1T ground cumin
  • 2-3T soy sauce
  • 8oz sour cream (low fat or regular OK)
  • a few drops Tabasco sauce

Direcciones

  1. Peel avocados, remove seeds and mash in medium bowl
  2. Dice tomato and fold into avocado mash
  3. Hand-mix in juice of 1/2 lemon and 3T soy sauce
  4. Add cumin to taste, mix in
  5. At this point, you have a good, traditional, somewhat chunky guacamole. It's not hot, but not at all bland - good flavor.
  6. If you want a smoother guacamole, gradually mix in the sour cream, tasting frequently. You may want to add more cumin and soy sauce (or salt) to taste.
  7. If you want some heat in your guacamole, mix in a few drops of Tabasco to taste. This gives a "smooth" heat; if you use chopped peppers, you'll get "cool" guacamole with occasional very hot pieces of pepper.
  8. Be careful not to over mix; too smooth and it feels like commercial dip!
