Ingredientes

  • 18 very lg. green mangos
  • 2 handsfull salt
  • 9 lg. green peppers
  • 1 can pimentos
  • 1 pound currants
  • 1 sm. can packed slivered almonds
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 c. candied ginger
  • 8 lbs. sugar
  • 2 quarts. vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper

Direcciones

  1. Coarsely chop peppers, pimentos, almonds, currants, and garlic. In a large pan, mix the sugar, vinegar, powdered ginger, and red peppers and bring to a boil. Combine the two mixtures, and boil 15 min. Add in mangos and boil till tender, about 2 hrs. Makes about 8 qts. Very good!
