Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 5 x egg whites
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp grnd allspice
  • 1 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg, grated
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 c. jam
  • 1 x recipe Creamy Caramel Frosting, see recipe

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ingredients, except the frosting, in order, one at a time. Stir well after each addition.
  3. Pour the batter into a 13 x 9 inch cake pan which's been lightly coated with vegetable oil cooking spray & dusted with flour.
  4. Bake for 35 min, or possibly till a toothpick comes out clean when you stick it in the middle of the cake.
  5. When cold, frost with "Creamy Caramel Frosting".
