Ingredientes

  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tsp Soy sauce
  • 3/4 c. Beef broth
  • 1 tsp Freshly grated orange zest
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 6 ounce Asian egg noodles or possibly thin spaghetti
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 3/4 lb Boneless sirloin, cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1 x Garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 tsp Chopped peeled fresh gingerroot
  • 6 ounce Snow peas, trimmed and cut length-wise into 1/4-inch strips

Direcciones

  1. In a bowl dissolve cornstarch in soy sauce and stir in broth, zest and sugar.
  2. In a kettle of salted boiling water cook noodles till tender and drain well.
  3. While noodles are cooking, in a heavy skillet measuring about 10 inches across top heat 1 Tbsp. of oil over moderately high heat till warm but not smoking. Stir-fry beef, patted dry and seasoned with salt and pepper, till browned, about 45 seconds, and transfer to bowl. Add in the remaining 1/2 Tbsp. oil to skillet and stir-fry garlic, gingerroot, and snow peas 30 seconds. Stir cornstarch mix and add in to snow peas, stirring.
  4. Simmer mix till thickened and stir in beef with any juices accumulated in bowl and salt and pepper to taste. In a large bowl toss beef mix with noodles.
  5. Serves 2.
