Roasted Swede With Maple Syrup

Ingredientes

  • 1 x Swede, peeled and cut into medium sized cubes
  • 2 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 15 gm Butter, ( 1/2oz)
  •     Salt and freshly grnd black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Maple syrup

Direcciones

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C, 400 F, Gas Mark 6.
  2. Place the swede cubes into a large roasting tray. Drizzle over the extra virgin olive oil and dot with the butter. Add in seasoning.
  3. Roast in the preheated oven for 25 min, stirring the cubes occasionally.
  4. 10 min towards the end of cooking time pour over and carefully fold in the maple syrup.
  5. Return to the oven and roast for a further 10 min.
  6. Notes Delicious served with roasted meat or possibly fish dishes.
  7. NOTES : Roasting give the swede a sweet caramelised flavour.
