Ingredientes

  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp lemon juice
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. strawberry jam
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. minced nuts

Direcciones

  1. Combine flour, salt and cream of tartar and soda. Set aside. Combine sugar, butter, vanilla and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl. Cream till light and fluffy. Add in Large eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Stir together jam and buttermilk. Add in to creamed mix. Alternate with dry ingredients. Mix just to blend, stir in nuts. Pour into 2 (9 x 5 x 3 inch) loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 min. Cold 15 min. Remove from pans onto rack.
