Receta Tasty Coconut Fish Curry

A very simple but Nutritious and tasty dish which go best with Rice. The Dish contains coconut oil and coconut Milk as the main ingredients so the taste of this dish is liked by Adults and Children. Its a mixture of both Goa and Kerala authentic fish curry but without using tamarind.

Overall, this dish came out very well. I personally tried twice. So its now your turn to cook and enjoy the flavor and Taste

Ingredientes

  • 1.Fish (Any good medium size fish cut into pieces) - 500 grams
  • 2. Coconut Oil - 2 table spoon
  • 3. Coconut Milk ( Extracted twice) 1st extraction using 1 cup water. 2nd Extraction using 2 cups of water. I used Preeti Mixie and used the extractor attachment.
  • 4. Small onions - 100 grams
  • 5. Chopped Big onions - 100 grams
  • 6. Cumin Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • 7. Garlic - 7
  • 8. Tomatoes - 150 grams
  • 9. Pepper corns - 9
  • 10. Pepper Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • 11. Chilly Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • 12. Rice powder - 2 teaspoons
  • 13. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • 14. Curry leaves - few
  • 15. Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
  • 16. Salt to taste

Preparation

Heat a Round Bottom Pan

Pour the Coconut Oil and add Pepper Corns, Cumin seed and wait till it splutter. Now add Both the onions and Garlic. Saute until the onions turn brown

Now add the tomatoes,Pepper Powder, Turmeric powder, Chilly powder, curry leaves, corriander leaves. Add 2 or 3 table spoons of 2nd extracted coconut milk to make sure the ingredients blend together in heat

After 5 to 6 minutes of frying add the 2nd extracted coconut Milk completely. Add the Rice Powder. Bring the dish to a boiling consistency. After 3 minutes of boiling, simmer the pan and add the fish pieces "one by one"

Simmer fully and Cover the pan and wait for 7 minutes. Now open the pan and add the remaining Coconut Milk. Simmer and close the lid and again wait for 5 minutes. Now switch of the fire. The Dish is ready
