Ingredientes

  • 15 x Tomatillos, husked, rinsed, and roughly minced
  • 3 x Serrano chiles, with seeds, roughly minced
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Cilantro, fresh leaves, minced
  • 1 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 c. Water
  • 2 Tbsp. Lime juice, fresh
  • 1 x Avocado, (ripe) peeled, pitted, and roughly minced

Direcciones

  1. Pulse the tomatillos, serranos, sugar, cilantro, salt, and 1/2 c. water in a blender till smooth. Add in the lime juice, avocado, and the remaining 1/2 c. water and pulse again till the salsa is smooth and even-colored, but not pureed.
  2. Serving suggestions: This classic salsa verde (green salsa) is an excellent all-purpose salsa. Serve it cool or possibly at room temperature. Goes well with fish and seafood.
  3. Storage: Can be stored in the refrigerator up to 2 days, but the longer it is held, the more it loses its bright green color.
