I hold a BS in Culinary Arts and Hotel & Restaurant Management from Sullivan University as well as certifications in Holistic Health and Sports Nutrition.
My holistic approach empowers individuals, groups and teams to improve their relationship with food and learn to THRIVE. Nothing makes my day more than meeting someone where they are at in their food relationship, and guiding them to where they want to be.
As one of my clients so aptly stated: “I am passionate about what I do and it is reflected in the outcome of my recipes, my workshops and recommendations I make for my clients.”
I grew up in Seattle, fortunate to be exposed to “organic” and “sugar free” before they became the miss understood and under explained words of today. What is so aptly termed farm to table in today's jargon.
Early on the preparing of simple, yet delicious foods started with my parents.
Who knew my life would come full circle and I would be combining these philosophies and other wellness principles to assist others in connecting the dots. Empowering people of all ages and walks of life to improve their lives with simple fresh healthy foods, a little imagination and a pinch of adventure.
After several years of exploring Yellowstone, many other states and plenty of adventures I finally decided to attend The Institute for Culinary Studies in Louisville KY, making the culinary training official on paper.
Inspired by a class on nutrition, working with an Osteopath and my own health challenges I chose to study nutritional counseling with The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I now have over 20 plus years of cooking, facilitating, living healthy and teaching nutrition to share with others.
I believe in the Sustainability of our communities and that knowledge, hard work and commitment to understanding our foods, our resources, our bodies and having compassion for our fellow man is the simple way to live a balanced and delicious life.
