I am a Christian and am active in my church choir. My husband and our son also help with the Kid's Church security check in. We love our church and our small community.
I am a cake decorator at a local food chain and am looking to advance myself in the culinary profession. I am grateful for the knowledge my new friends on CES are willing to share with me. I love trying out new recipes and think that this is the perfect place to learn many of these new recipes from amazing food artists. I have been cooking since I was four and have taught myself, in the past 15 years, how to really cook. I am not a professional, by any means, but want to excel in this wonderful art.
Influencias de Cocina
My mother and grandmothers were my biggest influences in cooking. I have been in the kitchen cooking or prepping since I was four years old. That came from a mom and grandmoms not being afraid to let me "get my hands dirty" in the kitchen. I am so grateful to them for those opportunities to learn. It has instilled a love of cooking in me. I have since taught myself to decorate cakes and many other techniques in the kitchen. Thanks mom and "Granny" and "Memaw" for the wonderful lessons.

Elaine - 24 de Enero de 2012I have not had a cance to try out any new recipes I have gathered on here yet, but am so excited to have the chance to learn from some amazing chefs. I am a southern girl who loves her southern roots as well as her southern comfort foods. However, I am an adventurous eater and will try, almost, anything. I am not an Andrew Zimmern type of adventurous eater, but close. Have an amazing day!

I was a cake decorator many moons ago as a side business to make ends meet. It was very creative, messy (!) work, but fun too. Nowadays I usually take the easy way out though and make simple cakes.
