Married, 3 grown children, 1 grandson. Semi-retired from a professional career spanning 30 years as a Sr. Project Manager and Sr. Purchasing Agent, electronics. Previous employment has taken me around the globe giving me the opportunity to experience some of the finest international food and fares. For fun, I spent some time learning fruit carving from chefs at the Sunway Pyramid Tower Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Special favorites from my travels are Scandnavian cuisine and fine pastries from Vienna, Austria. My husband, Mike, is definitely my guinea pig as I try out various international dishes. Problem is, he'll eat anything so I don't get constructive criticism.

Lived for a year on an expat assignment with my former employer in Guadalajara, Mexico. Learned authentic Mexican family style home cooking from some of the best home cooks in the area. Have a love for Scandnavian cuisine having spent so much time in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. For several years, I split my time between Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and my home base in North Caroline. Two weeks in Malaysia every month. The chef staff at the Sunway Pyramid Hotel were kind enough to teach me fruit carving when I has spare time evenings and weekends.
