Dear Subscribers,
I live in Newcastle city, in the State of New South Wales, Australia.
My mother passed away on June 29, 2019.
She used to make wonderful iota, and gnocchi, risotto, and 'goulash con le pattatte'.
I cannot cook very much, and decided to see if I could find some recipes for iota on the internet.
I came across this website/blog, and saw exactly what my mother used to cook for the family (pictures (and description) of iota).
I am interested in learning and practicing to cook at least a few tasty traditional (or other) dishes that our (my brother and I) mother used to provide for us.
I am retired. I was a High School teacher in a former life. I am 72 years of age (how did that happen?). I have also continued study after retirement, and have graduated as a lawyer recently, but don't expect to practice. I am looking after my brother, who is unwell, and am assisting as a carer.

PS: With respect to the entries below, my primary language is English (arriving in Australia in November 1950), but I do understand and speak and can read Italian (having come from the Fiume (presently Rjeka)-Trieste-Genova region). I was born in Genova.
