A suggestion for the recipe template: ability to add 'notes'
Besides an introduction, I like to add notes at the end of my recipe that give tips on technique or finding the right ingredients, variations on the main recipe, a little historical background, etc. It would be great to have that option--for the moment, I just include these notes as additional 'steps' in the recipe, but that, of course, is a little misleading and not very elegant.

Like you, I've added notes as added steps. I've also put notations next to the ingredient or the step the comment referred to, but this can be unwieldy. I've also made notes in the introduction.
A Notes box after the "steps" would be helpful.
I'm coming late to the dance, here, but this is another of Frank's good ideas - which obvously has not yet been implemented. We all make notes, or most of us do, and since I did not see this option when composing recipes, I clutter my recipes with my notes and comments. I don't know if this is confusing to the reader, helpful or entertaining, but I do it to attempt to clarify where I am taking the dish.
Yes to a NOTES box.
I know just what you guys are saying. I add notes too, to clarify myself, but I worry that the recipes get lost in all the long drawn-out explanations.
I have passed recipes over that are just too wordy, sorry, but I just want to get to the heart of the recipe.
A NOTES box would be very helpful.
I think this is a good idea too - at the moment, I use the 'Summary' box for adding in tips relating to the recipes I post, as I think it too messy or confusing to list them as additional steps.
