I tried twice to upload a photo here, and it never showed up! Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Sorry for the delay - been out of town! Was your photo of your lovely rice cooker??? I always advise using it for rice only. Get a couple of Chinese steaming baskets for your veggies. Let's see more. By the way, if this is NOT your photo, all you need to do is click the "Add/Edit" button under the photos to the left, then - add the photo(s).

I see the rice cooker was A.L.'s, so try again, Jann!

Yeah, Amos, I have not steamed veggies in the new rice cooker, as I'm afraid they'd be overcooked. I hate mushy veggies...especially gray broccoli. The rice turns out very nicely though, so I feel like I've gotten my money's worth.

Re: uploading photos

We find that using a stiff bristle plastic brush will remove any stuck rice - and we also use that for our saute, fry and cast iron ware, avoiding any abrasives. Usually no problems cleaning the rice insert. Actually, the steaming baskets are fast and friendly in the kitchen anyway, and this is especially good if you plan on serving steamed veggies & rice at the same time...

Re: uploading photos

It was a bitmap image of an apple peeler, and it wouldn't upload. So, I uploaded a picture I took of my Corn Grater, and that worked fine!
