New At This

We just received our NuWave Oven and my husband made chicken last night. Does it take a while to get used to cooking in it? The chicken was very good, but he thought it took longer than it should. I just think it was because we don't know exactly how to use it yet. But I'm still anxious about it. The kitchen didn't get hot and it was very easy to clean up.

My name is Valerie and I am a new user of the nu wave. My first meal was marinated salmon and asparagus. I even prepared baby lamb chops. I followed the cooking directions and everything tasted great. I did have some problem with cooking potatoes and carrots. They were overcooked. I enjoy cooking with the oven and have not turned on my stove since receiving the nu wave.

Karen, I thought the same thing, took longer that expected. I have come to realized this oven doesnt save time but sure does save clean up and the use of the regular oven. I have only had mine a few weeks and still scared to cook certain things in it, but I do like it enough to keep trying.

Re: New At This

The times it takes should be close to the charted times. Unless otherwise stated, cook on power level high. For my chicken, 15 per lb on power level high comes out perfect. No preheating the oven. If yours takes alot longer than what the chart states, I would contact the company and ask if that is normal.
