Green Yellow Pear Tomatoes

I am a new garderner. I tried five kinds of tomatoes. The yellow pears have taken over and grow like crazy. I am cutting almost all of them out. I have 6 quarts of green tomatoes from the plants I picked today I want to pickle them but have never made pickles before in my life and don't have canning equipment and a very very small kitchen. Is the equipment expensive? Any good recipes? Is there anything else I could do with them?
