Signature curries

We run a tiny B&B here in the heart of the Natl Parks (Zion,Bryce, Grand Canyon etc.) & one of our favorite guests from India brought me a host of excellent curry powders & sauces but also laughed at my ignorance ~ saying that in India a curry is never one thing, every single family has their own signature curry. That sounds like a delightful challenge, beginning to collect a number of these special curry recipes is going to be fun! Can anyone help?
