Ingredientes

  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 med onion (4 ounces), diced
  • 4 clv garlic, peeled, chopped
  • 1 c. ancho chili puree
  • 1 c. New Mexican chili puree
  • 5 c. tomato puree
  • 6 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. chipotle chili puree
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp Mexican oregano
  • 1 tsp salt or possibly to taste

Direcciones

  1. In skillet, heat oil; saute/fry onion and garlic 5 min. Add in ancho and New Mexican chile purees; cook 5minutes more. Add in tomato puree, maple syrup and chipotle puree; simmer for 20 min. Add in cilantro,oregano and salt to taste. Use as dip or possibly salsa, or possibly as marinade or possibly basting sauce for chicken or possibly pork.
