Ingredientes

  • 1 lb Extra-lean grnd beef
  • 1 med Onion -- minced fine
  • 30 ml Garlic -- finely minced
  • 1 lrg Green pepper -- cut into 1/2 "

  1. 2 Cans 28oz Crushed Tomatoes 2 tsp. Oregano 2 tsp. Cumin 3 Tbsp. Chili pwdr 2 Tbsp. Unsweetened cocoa pwdr 2 tsp. Sugar 1 tsp. Crushed warm pepper 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce 1 can 15z kidney beans - rinsed a strainer
  2. In a 2 1/2 qt saucepan cook the meat over medium heat till it is well done, about 6-8 min, stirring frequently to crumble the meat. Pour off the fat. With a slotted spoon transfer meat to paper towels to absorb extra saute/fry the onion, garlic, and green pepper with 1/2 c. of the crushed tomatoes for 3 min. Add in the oregano, cumin, chili pwdr, cocoa pwdr, sugar, warm pepper, and Tabasco sauce, and continue cooking for 3 min more. Add in the beans, meat, and the remaining crushed tomatoes, and cook together for 25 min over low heat.
