%20Double%20Chocolate%20Chippers%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20know,%20I%20know,%20this%20recipe%20doesn't%20fit%20in%20at%20all%20with%20my%20new%20diet%20restrictions%20-%20but,%20they%20aren't%20for%20me.%20They%20are%20actually%20for%20my%20students.%20I%20finished%20up%20my%20internship%20a%20couple%20of%20weeks%20ago%20and%20leave%20to%20head%20back%20to%20campus%20shortly%20so%20I%20wanted%20to%20bring%20them%20one%20last%20treat%20before%20I%20leave%20town.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMaking%20these%20cookies%20was%20fun%20because%20my%20fiance%20decided%20to%20help%20out.%20I%20am%20not%20sure%20if%20I%20have%20ever%20mentioned%20here%20just%20how%20cute%20my%20man%20is%20-%20he%20is%20romantic,%20cuddly,%20funny,%20and%20sweet,%20but%20one%20thing%20he%20is%20not%20is%20%22kitchen-inclined.%22%20That%20aside,%20he%20started%20creaming%20the%20butter%20and%20sugar,%20well,%20more%20like%20whipped,%20and%20then%20he%20beat%20in%20those%20eggs,%20again,%20more%20like%20whipped...%20When%20it%20came%20time%20spoon%20out%20the%20dough%20it%20was%20obvious%20the%20consistency%20was%20not%20right%20-%20baking%20it%20like%20it%20was%20would%20have%20given%20me%20some%20sort%20of%20meringue%20crossbreed%20-%20interesting,%20but%20not%20what%20I%20was%20looking%20for.%20So%20we%20added%20in%20more%20flour%20and%20cocoa%20and%20hoped%20for%20the%20best...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20better%20they%20were!%20These%20cookies%20have%20a%20very%20cocoa-y%20flavour%20and%20the%20texture%20is%20spot%20on.%20A%20somewhat%20cakey%20cookies%20with%20slightly%20crunchy%20edges.%20Although%20the%20maple%20flavour%20of%20the%20syrup%20doesn't%20come%20through%20as%20I%20had%20hoped%20they%20are%20still%20very%20satisfying%20cookies!%20(Now%20only%20if%20they%20fit%20into%20my%20new%20diet%20LOL...%20Hmm...%20maybe%20I%20will%20play%20with%20it%20a%20bit%20and%20see%20what%20I%20come%20up%20with.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThanks%20for%20your%20help%20babe%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESteps%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Preheat%20oven%20to%20350%C2%B0F.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-In%20a%20small%20bowl,%20combine%20flours,%20cocoa,%20baking%20soda,%20and%20salt;%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-In%20a%20large%20bowl,%20combine%20butter,%20sugar,%20brown%20sugar,%20and%20maple%20syrup;%20beat%20until%20creamy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Beat%20in%20eggs%20to%20butter%20mixture,%20one%20at%20a%20time.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Gradually%20add%20the%20flour%20mixture%20to%20the%20butter%20mixture.%20(I%20add%20it%20in%20thirds)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Stir%20in%20chocolate%20chips.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Drop%20by%20rounded%20tablespoonfuls%20onto%20ungreased%20cookie%20sheet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Bake%20for%208-10%20minutes.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
