Receta 6 Recipes Using Gourmet Warehouse Products
I was recently contacted by Gourmet Warehouse. They asked me if I would be interested in sampling some of their products and then write a post about the products that I selected to sample. I was more than happy to sample their products! I am a huge fan of marinades, barbecue sauces, spice rubs and seasoning mixes. The products I selected to sample were: Applewood Smoke Spice Rub & Seasoning and Cherry Jalapeno BBQ Sauce-Mild.

- 1 Stick Butter, softened
- 1 t Applewood Smoke Spice Rub & Seasoning
- Using a fork , blend seasoning into softened butter
- Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours before serving.
- *Note: This seasoned butter would be fantastic on a grilled steak:)

- 4 Potatoes, rinse potatoes and pat dry
- Pierce potatoes twice with a fork
- Place each potato on a piece of tin foil
- Drizzle each potato with 1 t olive oil
- Wrap each potato in foil.
- Bake at 350º for 1 hour or until potatoes are fork tender
- Serve with fresh cracked pepper and Applewood Smoke Seasoned Butter

- 8 ears of Corn on the Cob
- 8 slices Bacon
- 1 stick Butter, softened
- 4 t Applewood Smoke Spice Rub & Seasoning
- Remove husks and silk from corn
- Generously spread ears of corn with softened butter
- Wrap 1 slice of bacon around each ear of buttered corn
- Place bacon wrapped corn on pieces of tin foil
- Sprinkle corn with Applewood Smoke Spice Rub & Seasoning
- Wrap ears of corn in tin foil
- Bake at 350º for 1 hour and 15 minutes
- *Note: To crisp bacon, open up foil the last 15 minutes of baking

- 16 oz ground Beef
- 16 oz ground Pork
- 12 slices Bacon
- 1/2 cup diced Vidalia Onion
- 1/2 cup packed Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1/2 cup Cherry Jalapeno BBQ Sauce
- 1 T dry Mustard
- 2 1/2 t Applewood Smoke Spice Rub and Seasoning
- 1 (16 oz) can Butter Beans
- 1 (28 oz) can Bush's Original Baked Beans
- 1 (15.5 oz) can Pinto Beans
- 1 (15.5 oz) can Great Northern Beans, drained
- 1 (14.5 oz) can French-style Green Beans, drained
- 1 (15 oz) can Black Beans, drained
Fry ground beef and pork in a medium skillet, add 2 t Applewood Smoke Spice Rub & Seasoning. Brown meat until no longer pink inside. Drain off fat and set aside.
Fry bacon in a large skillet until crisp; remove bacon from skillet, drain on paper towels and set aside. Drain off fat in skillet, add chopped onion and cook until tender. Add brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, Cherry Jalapeno BBQ Sauce, dry mustard, 1/2 t Applewood Smoke Spice Rub and Seasoning; simmer for 15 minutes. Chop bacon. In a large oven proof bowl or baking dish, empty cans of beans; add browned meat, chopped bacon; stir in ketchup mixture. Mix well. Cover dish with tin foil and bake at 350º for 1 hour. Uncover and bake for 30 minutes longer.

4 Slabs Baby Back Ribs
6 cloves Garlic, peeled and left whole
1/2 large Onion, sliced
1 T Applewood Smoke Spice Rub and Seasoning
1 bottle Cherry Jalapeno BBQ Sauce
Place ribs in a large roasting pan. Add garlic cloves and sliced onions. Sprinkle with Applewood Smoke Spice Rub and Seasoning. Cover pan tightly with tin foil.
Bake at 400º for 1 and 15 minutes. Remove roaster from oven. Remove foil and drain off fat. Reduce heat to 325º. Pour bottle of Cherry Jalapeno BBQ Sauce over ribs. Cover pan with foil and bake an additional 45 minutes to an hour longer.

1 Lemondrop Melon or Melon of your choice
1/2 cup Crumbled Blue Cheese
1 t Applewood Smoke Spice Rub and Seasoning
1 T Honey
Cut melon in half; scoop out seeds. Cut each half, in half.
You should have 4 wedges
Using a knife, cut melon in cubes or
Use a melon baller, scoop out melon.
Put melon cubes or balls in a large serving bowl
Sprinkle melon with crumbled blue cheese
Drizzle with honey
Sprinkle with Applewood Smoke Spice Rub and Seasoning
Serve with toothpicks or spoons:)
