Ingredientes

  • 3 c. Nabisco 100% Bran cereal
  • 1/2 c. melted shortening or possibly corn oil
  • 1 pt. buttermilk (2 c.)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 c. raisins
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 2 1/2 c. self rising flour

Direcciones

  1. Put 1 cup bran and shortening in large bowl. Pour boiling water over it and set aside. Mix remainder of bran with sugar, large eggs and buttermilk. Sift in flour, salt and soda. Add in this mix to shortening mix. Fill greased muffin tins 1/2 full and bake at 400 degrees for 20 min. Bake only amount you need and store remainder of batter in sealed container in refrigerator till used up. (May be kept for 6 weeks.)
