%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20love%20the%20look%20of%20old%20brass%20and%20gold%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethe%20sun%20stays%20bright%20till%20much%20later%20in%20the%20evening%20these%20days,%20but%20I%20wanted%20candles%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eso%20I%20lit%20candles%20(they%20help%20me%20think!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ea%20simple%20Caprese%20salad...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eand%20some%20garlic%20cheese%20bread%20to%20start%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20just%20noticed%20that%20one%20of%20the%20candles%20was%20out%20here-%20oops...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Edecisions,%20decisions....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eso%20rare%20to%20have%20a%20quiet%20house%20(it%20didn't%20last%20long!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWell%20folks,%20it's%20not%20set%20in%20stone%20yet,%20but%20it%20looks%20like%20%20the%20time%20has%20come%20for%20a%20change.%20We're%20looking%20at%20putting%20our%20home%20on%20the%20market%20and%20making%20a%20move.%20We%20have%20so%20loved%20our%20time%20here%20and%20many%20forever%20friends%20have%20been%20made.%20Our%20Miss%20Allie%20isn't%20too%20happy%20with%20us%20right%20now,%20but%20sometimes%20parents%20have%20to%20make%20decisions%20for%20the%20long%20term%20good%20of%20a%20family%20that%20just%20aren't%20very%20popular.%20I%20trust%20completely%20that%20our%20wonderful%20children%20will%20adapt%20well%20and%20understand.%20The%20translation%20for%20%22Bramasole%22%20is%20to%20yearn%20for%20the%20sun-%20it%20is%20a%20state%20of%20mind%20and%20a%20state%20of%20the%20heart.%20We%20will%20carry%20Bramasole%20with%20us%20and%20hope%20you'll%20come%20along%20for%20the%20ride.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20reality%20is,%20unfortunately,%20that%20houses%20are%20sitting%20on%20the%20market%20for%20some%20time,%20so%20we're%20not%20anticipating%20that%20this%20will%20go%20very%20quickly%20(though%20it%20would%20be%20nice).%20I%20am%20NOT%20looking%20forward%20to%20keeping%20a%20house%20%22show%20ready%22%20with%20kids,%20parents,%20clients,%20and%20sundry%20children%20constantly%20in%20and%20out,%20so%20you%20may%20hear%20a%20few%20raging%20vents%20here%20and%20there%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20everything%20going%20on%20today%20I%20simply%20didn't%20have%20time%20for%20a%20recipe,%20so%20I%20thought%20I'd%20repost%20one%20from%20a%20few%20months%20back.%20As%20it%20happens,%20I%20did%20make%20it%20this%20week%20with%20the%20wonderfully%20sweet%20strawberries%20I%20got%20at%20the%20local%20farmer's%20market.%20Enjoy!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20the%20milks,%20sugar,%20vanilla%20and%20lemon%20peel%20in%20a%20largish%20saucepan%20until%20the%20liquid%20is%20simmering.%20Blanch%201%20cup%20of%20berries%20in%20liquid%20for%2030%20seconds%20and%20remove.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReduce%20the%20heat%20and%20keep%20liquid%20hot.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeanwhile%20in%20%20another%20saucepan%20melt%20the%20butter.%20Add%20the%20Arborio%20rice%20and%20saute%20for%20a%20minute%20or%20two%20till%20coated%20and%20translucent.%20%20Stir%20well.Add%20orange%20liquer%20and%20stir%20till%20absorbed.%20%20Add%201/2%20cup%20of%20hot%20milk%20%20mixture%20at%20a%20time%20waiting%20till%20each%20ladleful%20is%20absorbed%20before%20adding%20the%20next%20and%20stirring%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20process%20takes%20about%2045%20minutes%20to%20complete.%20I've%20noticed%20that%20it%20seems%20to%20take%20longer%20with%20the%20milks%20than%20with%20broth-%20I'm%20guessing%20due%20to%20the%20lactose%20and%20thickness%20of%20the%20coconut%20milk.%20Meanwhile%20puree%20the%20blanched%20berries%20in%20a%20blender%20or%20food%20processor%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20done,%20add%20the%20heavy%20cream,%20half%20at%20a%20time.%20Stir%20well%20to%20completely%20incorporate.%20Remove%20from%20heat%20and%20add%20the%20puree%20and%20sliced%20strawberries,%20stir%20slowly,%20cover%20and%20set%20aside%20for%20about%2015%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20some%20more%20strawberries%20for%20garnish%20and%20sprinkle%20with%20almond%20slices.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe're%20linking%20up%20with%20Between%20Naps%20on%20the%20porch%20for%20Susan's%20fabulous%20Tablescape%20Thursday%20party!!%20Come%20join%20us%20for%20some%20fun%20and%20inspiration.%20And%20join%20us%20tomorrow%20for%20Foodie%20Friday%20at%20Gollum's.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20Always,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBuon%20Cibo,%20Buon%20Amici,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPattie%20and%20Allie%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
