Course Content and Description: This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Key changes reflecting the new science from the updated American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device and use of an (AED) Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia Airway management Related pharmacology Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team Effective Resuscitation Team Dynamics Course Materials: Student Materials ACLS Provider Manual May Be Sold Separately The ACLS Provider Manual contains all of the information students need to know to successfully complete the Instructor-led,  classroom ACLS Course. It is designed for use by a single student, and as a reference tool before, during and after the course. 2. Present your unexpired American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Card to be considered a renewing provider and pay a reduced price for the course

18. AHA ACLS Provider Course Completion Card, valid for two years
19. Upon successful course completion, including demonstration of psychomotor skills competency in all learning stations by passing the CPR and AED skills test, bag-mask ventilation skills test, and a Megacode test in addition to a written test, students receive an American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course completion card, valid for two years.

By claiming CAPCE credit, the claimant acknowledges the following: I understand that the American Heart Association as a requirement of CAPCE accreditation will submit a record of my course completions to the CAPCE AMS. I further understand that my course completion records may be accessed by or shared with such regulators as state EMS offices, training officers, and NREMT on a password-protected, need-to-know basis. In addition, I understand that I may review my record of CAPCE-accredited course completions by contacting CAPCE.
