Receta Alabama Biscuits
The recipe came out of a news paper some time ago. My family really love them.

- In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Dissolve dry yeast in warm water. Add 1 tablespoon oil to warm milk, put other spoon full in flour mixture. Add all wet ingrediants to flour mixture.
- Mix well, either with dough hook or by hand. If by hand, knead 5 to 7 minutes.
- Roll out dough on floured surface to about 1/4 " thickness. Cut with a small biscuit cutter. Dip in melted butter and stack one on the other. I use an 8x8 baking pan. Two pieces per stack. Proof for 1 hour in 100 degree oven, and bake for 12 minutes at 425 degree preheated oven. Be sure to use the sugar as the yeast needs it for food.
