.%20The%20photo%20in%20the%20magazine%20was%20sure%20nothing%20special%20but%20for%20some%20reason%20I%20was%20still%20compelled%20to%20make%20it.%20I%20cannot%20rave%20enough%20about%20this%20recipe.%20I%20will%20for%20sure%20be%20making%20this%20again%20and%20again.%20Easy%20to%20make.%20Easy%20to%20transport.%20Easy%20to%20serve%20but%20most%20of%20all,%20it's%20completely%20satisfying%20and%20delicious.%20I%20LOVE%20this%20recipe!!%20Mark%20this%20recipe%20as%20one%20you%20MUST%20try.%20I'm%20telling%20you,%20you%20won't%20be%20disappointed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20a%20few%20personal%20notes,%20in%20blue,%20down%20below%20in%20the%20recipe.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGosh,%20this%20cake%20just%20looks%20so%20unimpressive%20sitting%20here%20in%20the%20pan.%20Don't%20let%20that%20fool%20you!%20It%20may%20not%20be%20the%20prettiest%20cake%20but%20it's%20the%20best%20tasting!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20can%20tell%20in%20this%20photo%20how%20the%20fudge%20icing%20seeps%20down%20into%20the%20holes%20in%20the%20cake.%20When%20the%20icing%20cools%20&%20solidifies,%20it%20makes%20the%20whole%20cake%20super%20fudgey%20&%20moist.%20That's%20why%20I%20think%20bigger%20and%20lots%20of%20holes%20poked%20in%20the%20cake%20are%20a%20must.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20cake%20was%20wonderful%20while%20warm%20and%20the%20next%20day%20is%20just%20as%20delicious%20if%20not%20better.%20Wow,%20I'm%20going%20to%20have%20a%20difficult%20time%20leaving%20this%20cake%20alone.%20Better%20give%20it%20away,%20quickly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20saucepan%20heat%20water,%201%20stick%20(1/2%20cup)%20butter,%20oil,%201/4%20cup%20of%20the%20cocoa.Whisk%20until%20blended.%20Bring%20just%20to%20a%20boil%20over%20medium%20high%20heat,%20stirring%20constantly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20the%20hot%20chocolate%20mixture%20into%20the%20flour%20mixture%20and%20stir%20until%20smooth.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBlend%20in%20buttermilk,%20eggs,%20baking%20soda,%201%20teaspoon%20of%20the%20vanilla%20and%20vinegar%20until%20smooth.(I%20combined%20my%20buttermilk,%20vinegar,%20baking%20soda%20and%20vanilla%20in%20a%20measuring%20cup%20before%20I%20added%20it%20to%20the%20bowl)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20into%20the%20greased%2013x9%20inch%20baking%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20at%20350%20degrees%20F%20for%2035%20minutes%20or%20until%20a%20toothpick%20inserted%20in%20center%20comes%20out%20clean.(mine%20took%20less%20time%20so%20be%20sure%20and%20check%20starting%20at%2025%20minutes)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20removing%20cake%20from%20the%20oven,%20place%20on%20cooling%20rack.%20While%20the%20cake%20is%20still%20hot%20punch%20holes%20all%20over%20using%20a%20fork.%20(I%20used%20a%20rather%20thick%20chopstick%20to%20poke%20holes%20in%20the%20cake%20and%20it%20worked%20perfectly.%20I%20made%20a%20LOT%20of%20holes%20-%20like%20every%201/2%20inch.%20The%20holes%20that%20you%20make%20are%20where%20the%20fudgy%20icing%20will%20seep%20into%20so%20I%20wanted%20to%20make%20sure%20there%20were%20lots%20of%20kind%20of%20large%20holes.%20The%20holes%20cannot%20be%20seen%20after%20icing%20has%20been%20poured%20on%20&%20cooled)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMake%20Icing:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20sauce%20pan,%20over%20medium-high%20heat,%20melt%20remaining%201%20stick%20of%20butter,%20add%20the%20milk%20(I%20used%20whipping%20cream%20instead%20of%20the%20milk)%20and%20the%20remaining%201/4%20cup%20cocoa%20and%20bring%20to%20a%20boil.%20Remove%20from%20heat.%20Stir%20in%20powdered%20sugar%20and%20the%20remaining%201%20teaspoon%20vanilla.%20Stir%20until%20smooth.%20(I%20used%20my%20electric%20hand%20mixer%20for%20this%20part.%20It%20made%20my%20icing%20super%20smooth%20&%20silky)%20Pour%20over%20the%20hot%20cake.%20Let%20cool%20and%20enjoy!%20(I%20couldn't%20wait%20till%20the%20cake%20was%20cool.%20I%20cut%20and%20ate%20some%20while%20warm.%20SOOO%20good!%20Like%20a%20warm%20pudding%20cake.)%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
