All American Chocolate Cake

Ingredientes

  • 4 ounce Unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 c. Shortening or possibly 1/2 lb butter
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 c. Cake flour
  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 4 x Large eggs

  1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350F. In a small, heavy-bottomed pan, heat chocolate and shortening, stirring over low heat till smooth and melted.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking pwdr, baking soda and salt. Add in chocolate mix, lowfat milk and Large eggs, beating till smooth. Spread mix in two greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans. Bake for 30-to-35 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cold in pans 5 min before turning out onto wire rack.
