Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 2/3 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 Tbsp. Light Corn Syrup
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 c. Unblanched Almonds, toasted

Direcciones

  1. Combine sugar, lowfat milk, corn syrup, and salt in 2 qt heavy saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly till sugar dissolves and mix comes to a boil. Then cook without stirring to soft ball stage (234).. Remove from heat; add in butter, but don't stir. Let cold til lukewarm (110) Then add in vanilla. Beat til mix thickens and spread is creamy. Add in toasted almonds. Then spread about 1/2 inch thick on wax paper lined baking sheet. Cold, break into pcs.
  2. Makes about 1 1/2 pounds.
