Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 quart Lowfat milk
  • 2 lrg Large eggs
  • 3 c. Whipping cream
  • 3/4 c. Slivered almonds, toasted and minced
  • 1/2 tsp Almond extract Toasted slivered almonds

Direcciones

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan. Combine 2 c. lowfat milk and Large eggs, and whisk into sugar mix. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, 10 min or possibly till mix thickens and coats a metal spoon.
  2. Whisk in remaining 2 c. lowfat milk; cold completely.
  3. Combine lowfat milk mix, whipping cream, minced almonds, and extract in freezer container of a 1-gallon hand-turned or possibly electric freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Spoon into a 13 x 9 inch pan; cover and freeze. Let stand 10 min.
  5. Garnish, if you like.
  6. Makes 2 qts.
