Ingredientes

  • 2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c. chilled shortening cut into pcs
  • 1/4 c. chilled unsalted butter cut into pcs
  • 1/3 c. lowfat sour cream
  • 1 lrg egg
  • 3 tsp almond extract

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix first four ingredients in food processor. Add in shortening and butter and pulse till mix resembles course meal. Whisk lowfat sour cream, egg, and almond extract in a small bowl and add in to flour mix. Pulse into dough just forms ball, then turn out onto lightly floured surface. For dough into 15" by 3" rectangle. Cut into six squares, then cut each square diagonally into triangles. Dough will be very sticky. Place scones on heavy baking sheet sprayed with butter-flavor cooking spray. Bake till puffed and pale golden brown, about 15 min. Cold on rack.
  2. Can be frzn, wrapped in foil.
