Receta American Hero Flimsy...
This is the last one...the last quilt top made with blocks from a group project. Of course, it's mine, the last one to finish up - but if you read my post last Monday on Stash Manicure then you know my blocks had just been aging until they were ripe enough to be sewn together.
This was such an easy quilt - the blocks came together quickly and I liked it so much I've already started on another top. The finished block is 8-inches and consists of one 4 1/2-inch blue square, one 5-inch cream square, cut diagonally for the two triangles, and one 8 1/2-inch square, cut diagnoally for the large red triangle. So you see, super simple, only 4 pieces! Here's a few tops that were made by our group - this block can be sewn many different ways...look and see:
American Hero Quilts is a non-profit organization, really, just one lady, who has made it her mission to give a quilt to all returning wounded soldiers and Marines...you can read about Sue and her incredible work by clicking here. And if you'd like to make a donation, either a quilt top, a finished quilt, or $$$ to help with her costs, I know she would appreciate it!
