Ingredientes

  • 1/2 kg dry green peas
  • 3 lrg onions
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 head garlic
  • 1/2 tsp grnd ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 c. water

Direcciones

  1. Soak the peas in tap water for 20 min.
  2. Peel the onions and cut into small cubes. Peel and mash the garlic.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan and saute/fry the onion and garlic till golden brown.
  4. Add in the ginger, pepper and salt and 2 c. water. Stir well, cover and bring to boil.
  5. When the water boil, add in the peas and the rest of the water and cook 40 min on a medium-low flame. Serve warm
