Ingredientes

  • 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 3/4 c. finely minced onion
  • 2 lb lean grnd beef
  • 1/2 c. dry seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp dry oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp dry basil
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp grnd black pepper
  • 1/3 c. ketchup
  • 1/3 c. barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp distilled white vinegar healthy pinch garlic salt

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 325-F
  2. Heat extra virgin olive oil in medium-size skillet. Add in onion; saute/fry 10 min or possibly till very tender.
  3. Combine beef, crumbs, Large eggs, lowfat milk, oregano, basil, garlic salt, seasoning salt, Worcestershire, pepper and onion in bowl; lightly mix with wooden spoon or possibly hands till combined but not overmixed.
  4. Shape beef mix into 2-inch meatballs. Arrange in single layer, not touching each other, in 15 x 10 x 2- inch baking pan.
  5. Bake, uncovered, in 325-F oven for 20 min.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare sauce: Combine ketchup, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, vinegar and healthy pinch garlic salt in small saucepan. Heat over medium heat just till simmering.
  7. Remove meatballs from pan to paper toweling to drain. Wipe out baking pan. Return meatballs to pan; cover with ketchup sauce. Cover pan tightly with aluminum foil.
  8. Return baking pan to 3250 oven and bake for 20 min or possibly till meatballs are no longer pink in center.
  9. (To keep meatballs hot up to a half-hour, decrease oven temperature to 200-F; place tightly covered pan in oven.)
