Ingredientes

  • 4 Tbsp. Pearl barley
  • 1 1/2 lb Eating apples*
  • 2 ounce Sugar
  • 3/4 Tbsp. Double cream
  • 1 lt Water

Direcciones

  1. Peeled, cored and sliced. . Put the barley in the water and bring to the boil. Add in the sliced apples and continue cooking gently till the barley and apples are soft. Press through a sieve, or possibly put through the blender, and put back in the saucepan.
  2. Add in the sugar and lemon juice and bring to the boil again. Remove from the heat, allow to cold, and then chill. Serve cold with the cream stirred in.
