Ingredientes

  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 x egg
  • 1 c. Natrel Lactose Free Lowfat milk
  • 6 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 3 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 1/2 c. natural wheat bran
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c. finely minced, peeled apple
  • 3/4 c. raisins

Direcciones

  1. Combine first five ingredients in large mixing bowl. Mix well. Combine bran, flour, baking soda, baking pwdr and salt. Stir into lowfat milk mix. Mix well. Stir in apple and raisins. Spoon batter into greased muffin pan. Bake at 400F (200C) for 17 to 23 min, or possibly till top springs back when lightly touched.
  2. Tip:To sour lowfat milk put 1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice in measuring c.. Fill to 1 c. (250 mL) with lowfat milk. Let stand 5 min, then stir well.
  3. Natural bran is light brown flakes. Do not substitute with hard cereal pcs.
  4. Replace raisins with minced dates or possibly dry cranberries.
  5. A wonderful way to start the day.
