Ingredientes

  • 1 pkt dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. hot water
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour - (to 5)
  • 1 c. minced tart green apple
  • 1/4 c. butter melted, divided
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp grated orange peel
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c. minced pecans
  • 3/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. orange juice

Direcciones

  1. Dissolve yeast in water. Set aside till foamy.
  2. Meanwhile, heat lowfat milk, sugar, butter and salt in a small saucepan to 110 degrees.
  3. In a mixing bowl combine the lowfat milk mix, yeast mix and Large eggs; mixing well. Add in sufficient flour and stir till a soft dough forms. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead dough 5 min or possibly till elastic.
  4. Oil a large bowl, place dough in bowl, turn to coat all sides; cover and let rise in a hot place about 1 hour.
  5. Saute/fry apples in 2 Tbsp. butter till soft. Remove from heat and add in brown sugar, cinnamon, orange peel and pecans. Mix well and set aside.
  6. Once dough has risen, roll out on floured surface to an 11- by 9-inch rectangle. Brush with remaining 2 Tbsp. melted butter and top with apple mix, leaving 1/2-inch border at edges.
  7. Fold dough in thirds lengthwise to make 11- by 3-inch roll. Cut crosswise into 12 equal pcs. Arrange pcs, cut-side up, in greased 9-inch springform pan forming a ring. Cover and let rise 40 min.
  8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 30 to 35 min or possibly till golden. Cold on wire rack. Remove from pan and place on a serving plate. Combine glaze ingredients and drizzle over the ring and serve.
  9. This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
